Tamara Barber
Tamara Barber is a marketing and research consultant specializing in digital culture, the future of market research, and emerging markets. She was previously Sr Director of Strategic Marketing at innovation software and services firm Affinnova. Prior to joining Affinnova, she was a Senior Analyst at Forrester Research, where she advised market insights professionals on the changing landscape of research methodologies and technologies. She is also a leading expert in Hispanic consumer behavior and technology adoption. She launched Forrester's Hispanic research product in 2005 and received the 2010 ad:tech industry achievement award for her work in the multicultural marketing space. Before this, she was a consultant at CANIETI (Mexico's chamber of commerce for the telecom, electronics, and IT industry), where she conducted primary research and analysis on the industry's competitiveness and innovative capacity. She began her technology and marketing career as a corporate PR manager at Apple. Tamara holds a Master's degree in international business and development economics from the Fletcher School at Tufts University. Outside of work, she's insanely busy with her husband and three kids, and as a volunteer for the American Heart Association.
