Data Quality & Reliability

What is ReDem?

ReDem, now part of Rep Data, is an in-survey data quality assurance solution designed to help research teams evaluate response quality while surveys are still in field. By assessing behavior, timing, consistency, and content at the respondent level, ReDem helps detect AI-assisted fraud, inattentiveness, automation, and other forms of low-quality participation before they affect results.

As part of Rep Data’s broader data quality approach, ReDem extends Research Defender’s pre-survey fraud prevention with in-survey response evaluation, giving research teams end-to-end coverage across the survey lifecycle. This integrated approach helps reduce reliance on post-field cleanup and supports more consistent, transparent quality decisions.

ReDem applies automated quality checks during fieldwork or through post-field uploads, with results consolidated into the ReDem Score (R-Score), a clear respondent-level measure of data quality. Its in-survey modules include content and duplication checks, coherence analysis, grid pattern detection, time pattern analysis, and behavioral analysis to identify low-quality, non-human or assisted responses.

Used by agencies and enterprise research teams, ReDem helps reduce post-field remediation, improve consistency across studies, and deliver cleaner, more reliable survey data.

ReDem: Live Detection of Fraud, Bots & AI-Generated Responses

In this session, you’ll learn how to stay ahead of these emerging data quality threats. We’ll show you how to spot both simple and AI-powered bots, then guide you through our five core in-survey checks: from behavioral analytics that flag unnatural typing patterns to open-ended scans for AI-generated text and AI-driven coherence checks that catch inconsistent or implausible answers. You’ll leave with real-world examples and a better understanding of the techniques needed today to safeguard data quality.
